as the title of my blog entry, it is easy to guess what i am feeling today... IM TIRED!!! let me tell you what happened to me.. basically i went overnight with my friends house: ace. we played basketball, ps2, computer, board games, etc. The next day, which is today, oct 29, wednesday, we played basketball right after we woke up and table tennis. and yah, we slept around 3:30 am and woke up around 7:00 am, about 3 1/2 hours of sleep.. im still sleepy.....

i want to inform all my readers that i have misinterpreted some facts about our semester break, i want all to know that our semester break is exactly one week. nevertheless, for us 4th years, its not a break. over this time period, we are planning for our thesis and congress projects.. anyway, field trip tom, and im not in the mood to go.. its too boring.. argh.. i want to on the school to see her than to go on subic just to tire ourselves.... =)

first things first, since i haven't posted for about 2 days now, i want to give first my comment which i am eagerly to blog last monday or last tuesday, anyway, i just to comment about the field trip of the lower years: im talking about the 1st and 2nd year, they should have no classes the day after their retreat, they got home like 9 pm then you will know that they have classes the next day, they are exhausted. anyway, lucky we are, our field trip is in friday so we will have breaks.

hmmm.. lets see, cant understand the meaning of the this blog title?? well, its just simple: we have a thesis that we need to defend, a business proposal and/or a feasibility study that we need also to defend, an immersion that waits me on november 18, got to process my application forms on the differents colleges and universities, by the way, i passed the sbc college entrance exam, an IAC to attend with and i heard that we will watch a play. well basically, we just have almost 1 month of school days excluding class interruptions. maybe when you blink your eyes, i may be on the stage graduating.......

its about 7:33 am here and im kinda bored already... i want to stay on bed and sleep. my whole body is hurt.. both physical and mental.. anyway, i cant stay on bed 'coz i have lots of pending projects to do, well those projects are not school related, its more on computer related..

anyway, lets just talk what happened yesterday, as you all know we have an entrance exam on beda and that exam is quite easy.. haha..

3rd day, math and economics.. 2 heavy subjects.. well, for me math is easy but when you combine it with economics it can have a brutal effect. anyway, in economics, the graphs are the hardest parts... while in math, i was in the number 4 when i got stacked.. actually i know the answer but i just freeze and stare my paper.. i dont know what happen, my mind is flying.. haha... about 30 minutes is over and thats the time i got back to myself..

anyway, we had a game after the exam.. well, i played my usual game.. forgot how many points i scored but i hit it real hard.. and i think i injured my left palm and shoulder.. i hit the deck real hard and it hurts!..

theology and science.. hmm.. nosebleed! theology is somewhat easy, well in fact i just answered the test around 30 mins or so.. how about physics? hmmm... if i have a calculator, it will be much easier to answer, in spite that missing calculator, i dont find it hard as well as failing... haha..=)

3 day semester break?!

semester break, wow what a good word, a word that every student is waiting during the midst of their class days.. semester break: about 1 week which usually starts at the end of october and ends somewhere at the start of november, after all saints day.. anyway, did i say about 1 week? well, this year, its just 3 days.. ow common, what can you do in 3 days (not including which november 1 and two unfortunately lands on a saturday and sunday respectively.. wow, what a curse.. anyway, atleast we have breaks other than we dont..

Field Trip isn't?

well, now lets talk about field trips, last year we had it on the farthest mountain: sierra madre and camp capinpin, both at tanay rizal.. its too long right?! haha... just 2 hour ride.. what a field trip.. now we are going to the subic.. 3 hours or more... yehey! but at the ocean park and zoobic(?).. boo! why boo? well, we are not toddlers that wanted to see dolphins jumping on hoops or big cats chasing us.. anyway, it too lame.. since it was the science area that holds this field trip, i thought that we are going on a scuba trip just like the 4th years last year.. but sadly, it is not.. wow.. what a field trip... and yah, one more thing, all the high school students will go in this place but 2 levels only at a time.. too lame!

usual scene when exams days: people all over are cramming to pass their requirements, teachers are teaching fast to cope what is needed to be taught within the quarter and of course, reviewers which are flying everwhere: from the inside of the classrooms to the virtual world of ym and multiply.. anyway, you'll probably wandering why the heck im blogging this thing, well we are a little shortage on the reviewers which is supposedly caming from the student council. the wrong thing is the sc just give a copy to the presidents in each class and let the presidents find their way how to reproduce this things.. well im not saying that the sc must have it xerox for us, im saying is if they want us to reproduce these reviewers, they should gave it a little earlier... anyway, it already happen, make this blog post serve as a example so that it will not happen again..

*readers, i want you to know that i am not backstabbing the sc. to all sc who will read this post, im just telling what can be more comfortable for all of us...*

its too boring here.. im already 5 hrs. here in front of the computer, transferring my blog to its new home... anyway, dawn rhapsody is the old one but still working...

anyway, you're about to ask me, hows the retreat??? well, its one of a kind experience... the place is nice.

i will not reveal all the activities due to my readers who will undergo the same retreat on the next batches.. we are lucky that we are the excess ones on the batch so we, seven of us, have to go to the another room.. my roommates is my co-marshals and some extras, and also mr. gutierrez and mr. miranda is our roommates....

the food is nice.. they serve us and not a buffet style so we can eat as much food is available.. haha... anyway, we have fun.. =)

my blog title seems weird right? well, today is our first day of our board exams or in layman's term: its periodical test, we have just revised it.... the continuation of our exam will be tomorrow and on thursday.. we havent done yet on posting and trial balance so its the next items to be test.

anyway, earlier this morning we have a mass around 10 am.. nothings new, we do our usual marshall job... its tiring but the view is nice.. you know wat i mean... =)

2nd day: posting.. well, i can say i do well here.. theres only one way on checking your answers if correct or not.. by adding all the amounts and will equal to the credit side then the whole posting thing is correct. luckily, i've got an equal amounts so i am assured on the posting and trial balance... last day of board exam tomorrow!!! haha..

anyway, 2 days to go before retreat... i'll not be posting on the 10th - 12th of october because its our scheduled retreat... inform you oct. 13 maybe... =)

Updates for prada games

what a day... in just came home from my game at ism.. and damn, its really hot today even if its raining.. anyway, the game today is nice. i scored 1 win and 1 draw. We defeated ATENEO and we have a draw with DON BOSCO, in spite of this draw we have a solid 8 points out of 12 possible points. we placed 2nd just for today while la salle having a uncomfortable lead with 9 points. Other teams are way behind, i think, well you see i didn't see all the scores today nevertheless, i will not be see in action next week because its our retreat! and i cant play that day. i'll miss 3 games and i hope they can sustain what i will miss... i'll just inform everybody what will happen next week...

i'm not feeling well today.. earlier this, i played basketball.. My shooting is very bad., and i'm merely catching my breathe.... i thnk i'll have a fever in a few days if this will continue.. anyway, speaking of shooting.. i have a great shooting last fri which amazed everyone and also me.. im shooting unconsciously that time....

and yah,, we have regular classes tom.. damn!

SCC-R win the game 1 over CSJL in juniors!

I havent watch all the quarters in this juniors match, i only watch the last minutes of the game. At the last minute, the two teams are still tied at 78-a-piece. Around the last 30 seconds of the game, one of the staglets, Gusi (?), hit a 3 pointer giving the stags a 3 point lead. Then a transition offense made by the letran knights and made 2 points. 16.1 seconds left and the stags are up by one point 81 - 82, they fouled a stag and only splits his charity. 11 seconds left and the stags are up by 2 points, 83-81. At the last second of the 4th quarter, the squires has been fouled before the end of the buzzer giving the letran squires to tie the game and force a overtime.. But all is lost when the first freethrow is missed. The game ended 83 - 81, in stags favor.

Sam Ekwe held as season MVP!

San Beda College center Sam Ekwe was the season 84th NCAA MVP. Though Sam paced in the statistical points, next to San Sebastian's Jason Ballesteros but due to the ncaa rulings that only players of teams who enter the final four has the right to become the season mvp. As we all know, MIT kick SSCR out going for the last slot in the final four.

Sam also won the same award last 2006 along with the title Rookie of the year. The "beanpole" Ballesteros finished this season with averages of 8.9 points, 14.3 rebounds, 3.4 blocks in the eliminations. Its a pity that Jason will end his college basketball without entering the final four. On the other hand, Sam has the stats of 15.1 points, shooting 48% at the field and 63% at the line, 13.6 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in the eliminations.

Last year, Ekwe could have won the MVP award after leading the statistical sheet with averages of 13.8 points, 16.1 rebounds and 3.5 blocks. However he became ineligible after getting a grave infraction - one game suspension for kicking Lee Sang Myeon of UPHSD.

Other awards include, Raffy Ynion of UPHSD for the most improved player while Allan Mangahas was named rookie of the year.

JRU vs. SBC on Finals!

After JRU outwit Letran in the quarterfinals of the season with the series 2-0 finish by jru. On the other half, the defending champions san beda college is at the midst of loosing their ticket going to the finals. The quarterfinals: first game was won by mit overtaking the lions by 2 points. Today's game have been won by the lions ensuring their ticket to the finals while they already kicked mit out of the picture. On wednesday, the bombers and the lions will collide for game 1 at the big dome.

To watch or not to watch?!

The heading says it all, i've been stack around several hours thinking: "should i train or watch the basketball game." But conscience wins over what my mind wants so i train around 3 hours yesterday. Here's the list of all my games yesterday including some illustrations which i won. (Its a shame that i will put my losing games here).

After the training, i got lucky to watch the second half of the pba game and the gym is not crowded as i expected. And the pba players is just playing their games but i didnt see like James Yap and Jayjay Helterbrand playing. Anyway, while im writing the draft of this blog post, i cant sleep, dont know if im missing someone or its just the coffee i take earlier. lol!

Spirits are high as well as expectations. First in the line is the crowd attendance who will be attending the basketball game today at SBC's Mendiola Campus. Over 1500 people are expected to come. Tickets from the HS level are now being sold to the college level of san beda community. First will be, the faculty vs hisfaco game which i've been eager to see but misfortune hits me coz i'll be having my training for the prada game next week. I want to see my teachers play. I hope Mr. Sonajo will play for the sake of fun. haha.. kidding. Anyway, the gym will have SRO during the main event: Purefoods and Ginebra colliding at 4 pm. This day will be exhausting. Hope i can find a seat later.....

Tickets Anyone?!

During the first quarter, the admins told us that there would be a zero collection policy. They already instructed the advisers not to collect any class fund as a primary step on this policy, next stop is the limitation of the students watching the NCAA games of the juniors (which is somewhat good because our juniors team is a weak one, [insert link]). Now here comes the ticket that is being distributed to each students. Take note: TICKETSSS, 2 tickets each student to be exact which cost roughly P150 each. Here's the point, why those tickets are issued if there is a zero collection policy? I the Hisfaco don't know this things? Ah... before i forgot, in the letter, it was said that it is a fund raising for their projects. Hah? Projects? What kind of projects? Last year they only have the statue of Saint Bede and the plaza which they plan to put some names fail (actually i'm still confuse if its really a project of hisfaco or the sc.. somebody please correct me). Now what are they planning to do? Built another unnecessary thing just for the sake of presenting that they have project? One more thing, according to my source, mendiola's gym can only accomodate about 1,200 (i think) people but the tickets released are about 1,500. If everyone will attend, where would the other 300 people sit? Inside the court?! They're plan sucks... That money can be saved for the ticket of the finals of the lions, its the OPPORTUNITY COST! as mr. sigua said.

Road less (not?!) taken

Let's assume your a traveler and you find yourself in a middle of the road which seperates in two. The left side road seems to have stone trails, rocky path and not grassy. Let's call it as the road most often used for travelling. On the other hand, the right road seems to be totally oppposite what on the left. Let's call it the road less travelled. Now let's see the advantages of the two road, on the left definitely give you safety. On the right, gives you the advantage of discovering new things. Will you take the road to safety in exchage of discovering new persons and thing plus the experience? You choose?

Closing game of 2nd round of elims! Beda vs. Letran highlights

Held september 10, wednesday, at the big dome. This game is the last game of the eliminations. Before the game at 4 pm, a cheerleeding competition was held at the same place; 2 pm respectively. Winners this year are CSB, MIT and JRU getting 3rd, 2nd and 1st place respectively. Getting back to the main event, Letran desperately needing this game to secure their ticket for the twice to beat advantage. The first ticket was at the hands of the lions. The latter team hopes to strengthen their solo lead in this season.

Let's cut the story short, after full regulation, 40 minutes that is, the game is still tied at 49 each (as far as i can remember). Sam Ekwe, sitted early because he is sick and cant find his rhythm in this game. Dave Marcelo, back-up center of the lions played well, he stoped Foronda (center of letran) from scoring. Ogie Menor, who opened the 1st quarter with a 3 pointer became silent in the rest of the 30 minutes. Pong Escobal together with Frankie's bench: Chico Tirona, Bambam Gamalinda and Dave Pascual combined to kept the lions close to the running knights. Borgie Hermida scored only 2 points in the first half, exploded on the 4th quarter scoring 9 points and another 3 points in the overtime including his buzzer beater-winning shot. Overtime ended with the lions on top 65-63.

This gives the lions a solo lead in nesting in the first place while the knights are in the play-off between the mapua cardinals and jru vs. ssc-r. These 4 latter teams are stucked with 9-4 record sending them in the 4 way tie. These teams will collide at Cuneta Astrodome sept 16, monday starting 2 pm in the afternoon..
